6-Series Alternators deliver superior

mounting styles, with 70 to 150 amp ratings.
6-Series alternators support most marine
gasoline or diesel engines. They feature
isolated grounding , along with Balmar's
patented "Smart Ready" internal
back up regulators. Mounting styles may vary based on engine year,
engine model, and engine installer, yet, most
every marine gasoline or diesel engine will use
one of the four mounts shown. Keep in
mind, inspecting the existing alternator is the
best method for determining proper mounting.
Smart Ready Regulator
In addition to
their ability to be externally regulated, many Balmar
alternators feature internal
"Smart Ready"
regulators, which allow the alternator to be used as a stand
alone unit, or to provide an immediate back-up in the event
of the loss of the external regulator. When connecting the
"Smart Ready"
regulator in conjunction with the external multi-stage
regulator, we recommend the use of a double throw switch to
direct switched voltage to the brown (ignition) wires in the
regulator wiring harness and in the alternator wiring plug.
The double throw switch enables the user to quickly switch
from
external regulation
to internal regulation in the event
of a failure of the
external regulator.

Designed for use on Yanmar Marine
Diesels and other engines where a dual
foot (3.15" ID), saddle-style mount is
required. Ignition protected
brushes are safe for diesel or gasoline
engines. D+ lamp circuit. One year
limited warranty. 12 volt and 24
