We have started installing the D400 marine wind generator’s on board a couple of sailing yachts here in Oyster Bay Long Island Sound NY. We are so impressed with the overall efficientness of the D400 that we have brought one ourselves to put aboard SY tranquility a 56ft custom Bruce Roberts. We do have a four-winds on the port side and will add the D400 to the starboard stern of the boat. The D400 made by Electric Energy in Britain is a cut above other marine wind generators we have encountered in the our renewable energy field of work ,and in anchorages we’ve visited. SY Minaxi employed Trans Marine Pro to make a custom bracket to hold two 175w Solar world panels and one D400 wind generator. Yesterday there was about 15kts of breeze and partly cloudy day and the charge that was going into his battery bank on average was around 15.7 Amps at 24V charge. Top design and efficient output and did I mention quiet sounding, can’t beat that for happy sailing and cold beer.
